Steward Land Company revived and completed the long-dormant final phase of a 40-year-old townhome community nestled on the foothills of Ben Lomond. On a challenging hillside site, we secured the necessary approvals and permits, resolved decades-old CC&Rs that no longer met modern lending standards, and delivered a buildable plan that honored the original community while meeting today’s requirements. Steward not only entitled the project—we took it vertical. Construction included a substantial shotcrete retaining wall with soil screws to stabilize the slope and create safe, functional building pads. The result is a thoughtfully finished 15-unit townhome phase that completes a neighborhood generations in the making and showcases our ability to tackle complex, technical infill sites.
