Carter Guiness is a Land Entitlements Associate at Steward Land Company, where he supports the entitlement process across the company’s active land development projects. In his role, Carter assists with due diligence, zoning and regulatory research, permit and entitlement applications, approval tracking, and coordination with municipalities and other agencies to help projects move efficiently through the entitlement process.
Prior to joining Steward, Carter worked with Corliss Management Group as a Real Estate Acquisitions Intern, where he sourced industrial acquisition opportunities and developed pro forma models to support investment decisions. He also served as a Real Estate Analyst with University Capital, a student-run real estate investment firm, where he evaluated multifamily, commercial, and industrial opportunities through financial modeling and market research. His experience also includes venture capital investing with Old Main Ventures and product operations with Redo.
Carter earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Real Estate from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. While at Utah State, he served as captain of the Men’s Varsity Track & Field Team and earned All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors. Outside of work, Carter enjoys running, entrepreneurship, and spending time outdoors.
